Who's Eligible for Ford A/Z-Plan Pricing?
Current Ford employees may be eligible for the Ford A-Plan, while a retiree/surviving spouse may be eligible for the Z-Plan. These pricing plans allow qualified buyers to generate up to four PINs per calendar year to use toward the purchase or lease of a new Ford vehicle for themselves or an eligible family member.
The Ford A/Z Plan qualifications are as follows:
- All active full-time hourly employees and regular salaried employees, beginning with date of hire.
- All hourly retirees receiving a normal, early (regular or special) or disability retirement benefit -- as long as any medical benefits are being received.
- Salaried retirees who retired under the General Retirement Plan are eligible while they are receiving benefits. This includes salaried employees who terminate between the ages of 50-55 and who are eligible to receive certain deferred retirement benefits.
- Surviving spouses of employees who died while actively employed and surviving spouses of retirees who retired under the General Retirement Plan, or who are receiving benefits under the Ford-UAW Retirement Plan.
- All S. Temporary Part-Time employees (TPTs) are eligible for A-Plan in the U.S.
- Employees on an approved leave of absence, for the duration of the leave or until expiration of any medical benefits.
- Employees on layoff, for the first 12 months of the layoff.
- For employees taking a separation package, complete details on their AXZ-Plan privileges are included in their separation packet.
- All regular part-time hourly and salaried employees who are eligible to receive medical benefits.
- Deferred Vested Retirees while they are receiving a Ford pension check.
- Members of the immediate family of the above. "Immediate family" means the following relatives of the employee or retiree:
- Spouse
- Parents
- Spouse's Parents
- Grandparents
- Spouse's grandparents
- Children (including in-laws and stepchildren)
- Grandchildren
- Siblings (including in-laws, half and step)
- Employees of approved subsidiary companies and approved affiliated companies as eligibility is defined at the time of approval.
- When both the employee/retiree and his/her spouse are deceased, the surviving family members are no longer eligible.
What Is the Ford X-Plan?
There are two versions of this plan, the Friends & Neighbors X-Plan and the Ford Partner Recognition X-Plan. Similar to the A/Z Plan, these plans allow eligible parties to enjoy special pricing when they buy a new vehicle from our Western New York Ford dealer. There are, however, a few key differences:
This program allows friends and neighbors of eligible Ford employees to enjoy special pricing on a new vehicle.
An eligible Ford employee or retiree may sponsor up to four PINs per calendar year to be used toward the purchase or lease of a new vehicle for a friend or neighbor, as noted below:
- Selected individuals sponsored by a Ford Motor Company employee or retiree such as an extended family member, friend or neighbor.
- Sponsors must know the individuals they are sponsoring.
This program benefits those who may not work for Ford Motor Company directly, but who work for a recognized partner.
An eligible Partner Recognition employee or retiree may generate up to two PINs per calendar year to be used toward the purchase or lease of a new vehicle for themselves or members of their households, as noted below:
- Employees (full time, part-time and contract), retirees and spouses of eligible Partner companies (suppliers, fleets, etc.) and members of specific organizations or groups.
- Residents of the same household as listed above (driver's license required for proof of residency).
- Participation is by invitation only as determined by Ford Motor Company. Not all suppliers, fleets, etc. are eligible.
