Being able to identify that you have a failing car battery will help to eliminate the chances that you are stranded somewhere that could be dangerous to you and your passengers. Look to see if you recognize any of these car battery warning signs and take the appropriate action:
- The check-engine light on the instrument panel now remains on all the time.
- The battery casing appears to be swollen.
- The car is needed to be jumped more often in order to get it started.
- The interior lights in your car are dim or flickering when you are driving.
- When you start the car, the headlights are getting dimmer.
- Each morning when you try to start the car, the engine cranks very slowly.
- There is a very strange smell coming from the battery compartment.
