If you're on the hunt for a full-size crossover for your next daily driver, we here at Basil Ford would be downright delighted to introduce you to ours, the 2017 Explorer.
How come?
Link up with our friends over at MotorWeek to find out; their evaluation of the Explorer is as follows:
No doubt one of our favorites of the Explorer's powertrain portfolio, its mid-level 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is straight-up sublime.
Optional on the Base and XLT trims, this turbo-four teams with a six-speed automatic transmission to make a muscular 280 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, while an all-wheel platform is available as an option.
We like this engine from a fuel efficiency standpoint, too; when equipped with front-wheel drive, for example, it's estimated to achieve 22 mpg combined (19 city/28 highway).
To learn more about this spiffy SUV, or to take one for a spin, we suggest you set a course for our Cheektowaga, NY location. Our automotive aces are on hand to address your every query about the Explorer, or any other Ford model within the current lineup.
