2020 Ford Escape: What's New

Here is everything that West Seneca drivers have to look forward to with the 2020 Ford Escape redesign:

  • Appearance: The new Escape boasts a more modern look, thanks to a curvier body with dramatic wheel arches, a large trapezoidal grille, and heavily arched fenders.
  • Engines: The Escape's four-engine lineup includes a 1.5L turbocharged 3-cylinder rated at 180 hp; a turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 250 hp; a 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid that churns out 198 hp; and a 2.5L 4-cylinder plug-in hybrid that generates 209 hp.
  • Dimensions: When it comes to Ford Escape dimensions, the automaker reports that the new Escape weigh 200 pounds less than the current model, and it also stands lower, longer, and wider than what's currently on the market.
  • Technology: The 3-cylinder engine features cylinder deactivation technology which helps to conserve fuel. Cylinders activate and reactivate as needed to boost fuel economy returns.
  • Advanced Safety Features: Every Escape in the lineup will come standard with the Ford Co-Pilot360 packet of advanced safety systems, which includes forward collision warning, blind spot warning, lane keeping assist, and more. The available Active Park Assist 2.0 is also noteworthy, as is the Evasive Steering Assist function.
